Disabled child and long distance reductions

Hi all, I am wondering if anybody knows if you live with a disabled child what the reduction rate for your child maintenance payments. Also if you live 160 miles away, how much the CMS take off per mile?.

long story short, I am about to move 169 miles away to be with my long term partner and her disabled child. (This is years in the making not a quick fling or decision). I will still return every other weekend to see my child and spend the weekend with her but wondering how this will affect my child maintenance payments.

thank you in advance.

hi,

I don't know what the amounts in reduction will be, but you should report changes to CMS as soon as it takes affect. you should be able to get reduction for disabled child now, if you support child. don't have to be living with them.
