I contacted the CSM to update them that my 18 year old daughter is no longer in full time education, I know this as I am in regular contact with her. I updated this information on the system last week and have now received a reply to say that my ex wife has stated that my daughter is still in full time education which is a total lie and that I would have to forward evidence to support my claim. Has anyone experienced this before and if so what evidence did they gather to support this claim. I find it very frustrating that I have to find evidence but my ex wife can just lie and not support her reply with any evidence. My daughter will be 19 in December so has attended college for 2 full years and completed her course in June.
hi,
is your daughter able to get a letter from college stating what dates she attended, and she is no longer in full-time education.
@bill337
that’s possible but then I would put my daughter in a uncomfortable position which I’m trying to avoid.
I had this recently, she is still to be paid for July and August, then when she starts Uni or Paid Employment you cease payments in Sept because payments are paid in arrears.
I was asked to ring CMS and check on Sept 8th to see if they had been notified of child benefits ceasing.
