Can anyone help i have been paying child maintenance for the last 17 years and the csa have on many occasions got the payment formula wrong. After finally getting to speak to some one who is willing to look at my case rather than say it's 33% that we are entitled to they have decided that i must from the end of this month pay £1500 per month every month for the next 12 months. If this is correct then i should be bringing home £4500 per month which would be great for all concerned however im not even getting half that amount.
Can any one help please
I would ask the CSA exactly how they came to their calculations - also, when did they first get involved (ie before or after 2003) and are there any arrears?
I would also go to see your MP as soon as possible - take written summary of everything to give to him/her so nothing is missed. You MP can get much faster results than you are able to do.
I'm still waiting for break down the case dates back to 1997 when they got involved. There are areas on the case as the mother told the csa that since 1999 - 2006 (i paid cash to her and direct debit) i did not pay for my son, fully aware that i cannot get bank ststements to verify this as it is more than 6 years ago. This put 6k in arrears on my case.
I have spoken with local mp staff and they are in contact with csa for full breakdown of case,
i have just got of the phone with the csa and im still waiting for case breakdown
As it stands im now off work with stress and cannot see any way forward
