CSA payments for apprenticeships

Hi,

My son 17 year old son who lives in Northern Ireland has dropped out of his college to start an apprenticeship.  Do I still require to pay his mother CSA payments. If I do, is it possible to give the payments directly to him and not to her so I know the money will used for his needs?

Thanks in advance for the information.

hi,

if child is in approved education, then maintenance payments continue:
