Hi, can anybody help on this matter.
I currently pay maintenance to teh CSA based on teh old methdo of calcualtion worked out on my old sallry and mortagge etc from 2001.
I now only pay for 1 child rateh rthan 2 as son is now at uni.
I have aslo recenlty chnaged jobs to a higher slalry but also my mortagge has increased from £250 per month to £1100 per month.
How woudl my CSA payement be affected.
Woudl i pay more based on new salary, woudl tehy take into account new mortgage amount or woudl they just swap me to teh present 15% per child of nett income
Any help woudl be grateful. I dont want to ask CSA yet until I have an idea of what is likely to happen as I can't risk them increasing my payments from present ( £528 per month by the way )
thanks,
John
Your on the old system then if it was set up in 2001, what they call CSA1
They would take into account your new mortgage, it depends on how much your wage has increased if it goes up, have your wages increased by more than £850 a month?
Also I don't know if you know but the carer element changes each time a child gets to 11,14 and 16, so your payments drop slightly, so if your child has passed any of those ages since you was last reassessed then its worth asking for a new calculation
