Hi all,
Can anyone answer thie question?
I have paid maintenance for the past seven years at a set rate that me and my ex partner have agreed, We are now going down the csa route and while it is being processed do i still carry on paying the agreed maintenance?

The CSA start calculating from the day they are contacted so you need to be paying what the CSA calculator states or at least be prepared to pay arrests from that date if you are paying less. Make absolutely sure that anything you pay is clearly marked as child maintenance - if it's a standing order then quote it as the reference, any other way, them get a receipt otherwise the CSA may not count it.

If it is not marked down as child maintance etc then the CSA will discount it as I found out the hard way, What you may find out though is you could end up paying less than what you are currently paying via the CSA I did by the time all the deductions etc were taken into account.
