I am a Father of 6 i have two kids living with me and pay csa for the rest, i have been self employed now for 7 months and i am not yet making a profit, i get child tax credit and working tax credit the CSA have said that i have to pay 35% of my tax credit to my other children this has put me and my two kids that live with me in extreme hardship i have already been evicted over it and am now struggle to pay the rent again, also i have learned that two of the kids that i pay CSA to are not mine i asked the CSA for a paternity text and they have refused stating because my name is on he birth certificate and i have been paying so far they will not do it and i have to apply to do it myself through the courts
.
1 if i have no money how is this possible and how do i go about getting the CSA to change there minds and force the mothers to do it if necessary

2 how do i take the CSA to court to reduce the payments that they are taking as when i was working paye the payments where 15% to 20% of my income and now am on benefits they are taking 35% (the child tax credit element) of my kids money i have appealed but they have said there decision stands

Hi there

Here's a link to the gov website about disputing parentage and DNA testing which gives you further information.

https://www.gov.uk/dna-testing-parentage-disagreements

I don't know very much about child maintenance, hopefully someone will be along that can advise you.

It might be worth going to see your MP and asking for their assistance and there are steps you can take if your appeal has been refused, which you'll find in this link

https://www.gov.uk/child-maintenance/disagreements-about-parentage

Best of luck
