Ok so have been paying all along for many years. Come back from holiday to an inch thick wad of letters, it's all changed, I owe this much, calculations based on gross rather than net.

Is this it Now? Self employed sole trader.

Hi There,
.
If you are self employed/sole trader, then CMS will take your details from your tax return from inland revenue you are able to appeal what they have come up with as an amount, if you look on thier website then you will find the details.
.
But if the amount they have set is in line with the profits you have shown inland revenue on your tax return that is what you would need to pay.
.
