Hi,
I'm a new dad who sadly looks like I have to split from the mother of my son for his best interests. It looks as though things could get messy so I was hoping somebody could give me clarification on what percentage of my wages I can expect to pay so that I can start planning on how I can provide a life for my boy when he's in my care.
From my own personal experience, i was on 23k a year last year and was paying £48 per month. I hope you can get a rough idea from that.
Thanks for the reply mate, that seems to cheap and was that done through child maintenance?
Hi There,
.
Take a look at the link below, it will take you to the CMS calculator, fill in the required fields and it will give you an amount, use this as a rough guide for trying to arrange between you and your ex, the way it now works is that CMS would rather you have a private agreement rather than get involved, if you need them to be involved they will make a charge for this, though this is a one off charge if you pay your ex directly, if you pay through them they add a percentage on
