Do payment for my child go down as they get older?
No I'm afraid not....if your income goes down then you would perhaps pay less.
Hi Mr b
Thanks for your post, I am William the Child Maintenance Options consultant. Under the Government statutory maintenance services guidelines, payments for your child would not be reduce as they get older. Child maintenance is calculated on your gross weekly income and payments would only be reduced if there was a change in your income, change in the overnightβs stays and if the number of other children living with you changed.
To find out more about all the options available for maintenance and how Child Maintenance Options can help you visit http://www.cmoptions.org or call us free on 0800 988 0988 between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday or 9am and 4pm on Saturday.
Thanks
William
Do payment for my child go down as they get older?
It depends which system your on, if you case was opened pre 2003 then yes, the carer allowance is reduced at age 11, 14 and 16
If your case is very recent or on what they called CSA2 then no, the only way it gets reduced is if your wages go down like Nannyjane has said or if your pension increases
if you case was opened pre 2003 then yes, the carer allowance is reduced at age 11, 14 and 16
And yet again, you've posted information I had no idea about π
I'm full of information π Sometimes of no use to anyone though as my wife says :woohoo:
