[Solved] csa

Hi Everyone
Yesterday i got a phone call from the csa and they told me my ex had made an application, i was a bit angry about this as for over 15 years i have been paying her without fail. I was made redundant last year and was out of work for about 8 weeks, however i still paid her the amount i had been. I then took a part time job as i could not find a full time one and i hated not working, i still paid the full amount then i was told that the help i was getting to pay my rent and council tax was being cut, and when i worked it i was worse off than when i worked.
After looking at money and arrears of rent ( due to the council) i had to make a cut in money i gave to my ex, i informed her of this and she was not happy, i looked on line and told her about what she would get from csa is less, but she went behind my back and done it, i guess she did not believe me, i have now found out that they take my child tax credits into account, so my 7 month old babe has to lose out unreal, so she sits on her [censored], gets tax credits for my daughter her partner earns 4 times what i do, she has been done for benefit fraud and is waiting for a court case.

All i have ever done is pay for my children, and when i have a bad times she kicks me while i am down. Sorry for rant but needed to voice my anger

Hi

No problem having a rant on here, we're more than happy for you to let off steam. Unfortunately, the one area where maintenance can affect the income of a new partner is child tax credits. I presume the CSA realise you have a new baby - this will reduce by 15% your liability for maintenance.
