Hello, all,
I have had a quick trawl around the site but haven't seen anything that is specifically relevant to my position. I could be going blind or just plain old stupid.

Briefly, I've done the CSA calulator thing, entered £x as a weekly wage, two children etc etc and the approximate resultant payment is £y. This sum, £y, works out to be 20% of my weekly wage. However, nowhere does it say that this is for BOTH children or PER child. Is the £y (20%) PER child or is for both? If it's PER child, then I'm shelling out 40% of my weekly - which is a bit steep!!

Additionally, having read the blurbs here & there, it seems that the 'going amount' a la CSA is 15% per child . Having 2 children that would be 30% of my weekly - not 20% as above. Which is correct - or at least close enough for correct; the 20% calculator figure or is it the possible 30% if one applies the 15% per child?

Sorry for being a bit dull here...just not used it. Thanks, chaps.

Hi there and welcome 🙂

I believe its 20% for two children. If you take a look at the top of the Finance section theres a sticky called "How the CSA calculate payments", theres a link to a very helpful CSA leaflet. You will find the information in there along with lots more that you may find helpful.

Yep, it's 20% for both children, not each.
