Hi All,
on 12/7 I got a letter from CMS informing me that I have been named in an application to the child maintenance service.
I was just pondering over it and think how to go about it and then on 14/7 I got another letter from CMS which start with "Thank you for getting in touch to tell us about your gross weekly income." and has attached an application form. (Please see the attachment)
I know that it could be a standard line for mass mailing, but as my ex has a tendency of fraud, I do suspect that she might have called them using someone personating as me and declare some fabulous income on behalf of me:evil: to earn some good amount on behalf of my son.
So my questions is:
1) Does CMS send this standard letter with application form declaring that we have contacting them ?
2) If not, what remedy do I have .. police complaint??
Thanks in advance for your help.
I'm afraid, I don't know what standard letters are sent, but I would start with contacting the CMS to clarify.
If they cannot resolve your query, contact the CAB.
No one has received that type of letter???
Official letters often have a form number at the bottom - if it does, then google it. But I agree with GTTS, I would contact CMS to see if it's genuine and if it is, then to clarify that you did not give that information to them.
