Hi all,
I have just received my payment calculation from the CMS as my case is moving over from the CSA this month, and naturally it states my income (obtained from HMRC) as part of the calculation.
I have just telephoned to seek assurance that this figure is not shared with my ex-wife and they have told me that it will have been! I can't believe this, surely this type of information is private? They told me it doesn't matter as she could work it out anyway! I'm not too happy with this.
Does anyone know if it's legal to share this info without consent?
Thanks in advance.
I don't think you have much choice - my ex pays me maintenance, and I don't recall them telling me the figure, but as they said, it was easy to work out exactly what it was.
