I lost all of my answers to the child maintenence questions.
I have no correspondence from them anymore.
I've tried to phone them informing them of my problem and they said I would get a phone back call. This never happens and I inform them the number must be wrong.
" wait for the call back" is all I get.
I need to inform them of a change in circumstances in relation to my monthly payments for my son.
How can I inform them and get my security changed?
Yes the security questions are a pain and I don't know what you can do but maybe you can email them?
I use
eastern.2012newcaseinbox@cms.gsi.gov.uk
to forward details to them
As you probably don't have you reference number use your NI number
Good luck
The security questions for cms is a pain in the [censored].
Thank you I'll try the email address. Most grateful.
Pain in the [censored] is very true. I haven't phoned them in over a year and alot of paperwork was lost by me unfortunately which is a pain in the [censored] I created.
I must admit, I wrote all of the questions down when I first contact CMS - I have never come across anything like it in anywhere else.
Hi There,
.
I did the same as actd, the amount of questions were mad, never been asked to give as much security and have to come up with so many answers to questions as I have with them.

So I have continued to phone them and try to guess my way through the questions only to fail.
Every time I phoned them they fob me off with the " we will organise a ring back call to you " .
I've emailed but as of yet no reply.
I'm tempted to just stop the payments and keep them in my account until they contact me. I know my sons partner is financially secure and so it wouldn't effect him in any way.
If anyone else has any suggestions I'd be grateful.
Hi There,
.
This really doesn't sound great, every system that uses passwords even simple ones let alone the system CMS have in place have a fail safe to re set your passwords.
.
I would raise a complaint look at the link below which explains it.

Thank you.
After being offered x4 ring backs which never happened I spoke with cms again but this time a lady got a ring back to me within 5 minutes.
It seems it's just luck of the draw and or just a faulty system thry have. I'm sure they are just as overrun as most organisations now.
There new password system is 7 didgit code with x1 password.
Thanks again.
