[Solved] CMS refund letter?

I have received a letter from CMS asking me to contact them regarding a refund that is due to me? The letter has my case number on it but no mention of my child’s name etc. I called the number on it, which seemed genuine as I reached the automated message stating that the lines were closed until the morning. But the more I think about it the more suspicious I am getting as I don’t believe I am owed anything. My son is now 22 and I am paying back money through deduction of earnings. Is this related? Has anyone else received a letter like this?

Have you Googled the phone number on the letter to see if it is legit? I would have thought the childs name would be included on the letter, so might be worth calling the CSA from the number on their website rather than the one on the letter?

Sounds very suspicious. As above, keep trying them, but using a number from the website, not the letter.
