Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. Up until November 2014 I was paying through the Csa £230 a month to my ex for our daughter.
My new wife died suddenly leaving just me and my at the time 13 year old son. I'm currently working full time and receiving widowed parent allowance.
I mentioned the widowed parent allowance at the time of setting up under cms, they said it will be added to my gross income and now I'm paying £270 a month. But if I used their online calculator and choose widowed parents allowance it goes straight to the flat fee page.
Is what they are charging me correct? If I had it reduced would the ex be able to just get a variation to put it back up? Most of my wages goes into repaying loans and credit cards we had at the time she died (plus funeral costs). Now I'm struggling month to month to look after a teenager.
Hi There,
.
I'm really sorry to hear what you have been through and as a result what you are now going through, unfortunetly my knowledge of CMS is very limited, so I don't know how much help I can be, I would maybe talk to them and ask for some clarification around this and to explain why the calculator doesn't include the benifit, but yet they are.
