My wife is currently pregnant and we are discussing taking shared maternity leave, it is more financial beneficial if i take the leave rather than her. With That i would be on a reduced income for 6 months, including recieve statutory maternity pay.

Does anyone have any experience of this and how it would effect the amount i pay to my ex?

Hi,

Am not sure what view CMS will take on this. They will likely do their 25% test. If your new reduced income is atleast 25% less than your current pay, then they reduce your payments. Suggest you call them and let them know once you start taking the leave.
