I have a 17 year old who has left school and not in education
His mother gets pip and carers allowance for him
I have had him at my home every weekend since he was 2 He has recently stopped coming to my home and his mother has informed the CMS and wants more money
Do i still have to pay hes 17 not in education of any kind
I believe you have to pay up until they are 18.
hi,
you should phone CMS/DWP and ask is the child still getting child benefit. if he is then they would tell you to keep on paying maintenance.
What is he doing now if he's left education? As far as I am aware, there is a legal requirement for him to continue until age 18, with certain exceptions
