has anyone had any experience with the FIU???
Hi
Apologies for the delay. If you search for recent posts from @Will99 he is dealing with them at the moment.
Ah yes apols for not noticing your original post. I am dealing with FIU currently.
They were engaged to investigate my assets as part of a request by my ex- for a notional income calculation. On the whole I have found the person dealing with my case to be very approachable and easy to deal with. He has called me directly when I have asked etc. and usually been prompt with his replies to my queries. However, I am vehemently opposed to the decision that they have come to just recently - from my perspective it is blatantly unfair, and in my opinion does not even adhere to the CMS's own guidance. Also - despite their engagement being in respect of a notional income variation, they have also decided (to my detriment) to overturn a previous variation decision regarding diversion of income (pension contributions). It seems from my perspective that their objective was to side with the PWC and increase my CM payments rather than deal with the issues on a fair, objective and independent basis. However I am sure I am not the first NRP to claim this !
