CMS Calculation Employer Pension Scheme Contributions

Hello,

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before. I recently looked at my CM calculation and noted that the gross yearly and weekly salary they have used is basically my gross salary minus my personal tax allowance and does not consider any pension contributions. I contribute 11% of my salary towards my employer's pension scheme - should this not be considered? The person on the online chat was extremely unhelpful and didn't really answer any of my questions.

Appreciate any info/advice!

Thanks

hi, CMS state that if you pay into workplace/state pension, this is taken into account. if you pay private pension, then need to let them know. if they haven't taken pension into account, you can write to them at:

correspondence@dwp.gov.uk

and complaintsreviewteam@dwp.gov.uk
