Hi all,
Does anyone know if you can appeal against a move form direct pay to collect and pay?
I have paid every single penny requested by the CMS (and then some!), but, after being made unemployed, am being threated by my ex partner that when I go back into employment, that she will go to using collect and pay which makes finding a job, that much harder as the very high percentage of salary (net).
At present, my circumstances are fully evidenced to the CMS (inclusive of their transparency into individuals HMRC (PAYE) payments etc).
Just wish to know if anyone has had similar experiences and if so, how they got around it.
Thank you all for your helpful reponses.
hi,
have you made CMS aware that you lost your job? they should put you on nil assessment, so you do not pay maintenance. then when you start working again, you should let them know and then restart the payments.
CMS usually would put someone on collect and pay if they miss payments or stop paying.
