Was a pleasant call, explained i have a current sal sac scheme (childcare) and also thinking about the car.
After being on hold for some time, the advice was that the calculation IS based on the NEW gross AFTER salary sacrifice deductions (and after the pension as standard).

Hello Ajax,

As your message was a couple of years ago, I was wondering how it worked out with your salary sacrifice?
CMS never deduct my pension payments so I'm considering doing a one-off salary sacrifice to my pension every year, which from what I understand would be taken automatically into consideration as the calculation should be based on gross after salary sacrifice.

Thanks in advance,

Hi, is your pension private or workplace?

Only if Private depending on work status?
Then they will deduct.

It's a Group Pension Plan with Standard Life, so my employer makes a contribution and so do I.
