[Solved] Cms and annual reviews question....

So good morning fellow dad.info ers...

My delightful ex has decided to go through cms despite being willing to continue payments (have never missed payments, never intended too, unable to do so as could lose my job) even the cms operator on the phone was shocked by my ex and her unwillingness to try and be adults about all this!!

Anyway my question is:-

My wages are say 29,990 this year...in April my wages go to 31,000 so this isn't the 25% rise I need to tell them about. So in November my review is conducted, will they take my new wage to calculate the amount I pay or because of the little rise do they just keep it the same.

I keep reading conflicting stories, even on cmo site where they mention the eleven month income review!!!

Any answers would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Oh and how do they calculate??

Do you have a choice of p60, wage slips or do they go straight to hmrc for the info?

Hi
I'm in same position
My understanding from the guidelines is that the cms will take whatever HMRC has recorded as your gross salary for 2015/2016.
You can reduce this figure by making vol pension contributions
If you complete a self assessment of use an accountant you can ask them to send their calculation of gross salary to the cms.

My understanding is also that you can apply for variation without it affecting shared care.
Eg because I spend more than £10 a week over the year on travel expenses to see my children I can now ask for that to be considered in the calc

The cms /govt position that paying dads will pay roughly the same with the CMS is Not factual - 74% of dads will pay more (see F4j) website.
Please check out my 'gross salary calcation' post and sign and share the petition.
Hope that helps - have spoken with cms and cms options over last few days

I know it's crazy I will end up paying £100 more or there abouts a colleague however will be more around £250ish so really can't see how it's all the same!!!
