My son turned 18 back in June. He's left school, got an apprenticeship with BAE systems.
Yet the 'delightful' CMS are still on my back. Been threatened with 'debt recovery' and/or 'court action'
The fact I've been denied access for over nine years, seems irrelevant.
Perhaps because I'm white, English, employed and not a burden to the state makes me an easy target.
Hooray for the welfare state!
Frederick, Kent.
Hi there
Some approved apprenticeships fall under further education, making child maintenance still payable.
Unfortunately, contact and maintenance aren't linked in any way and are not interdependent.
It can seem unfair, but I'm pretty sure there are plenty of non white, employed parents that are in the same boat to be fair.
