Hello, my son was 18 last month. I have not had contact with him for a few years due to ex not allowing access. If he had finished education or was going into higher education would I have already been told by cms that my payments were ending in august? I have no way of finding out from his mum. Thanks

Last payment is August the year they finish higher education. Just stop payment after August... And see what happens

No, the CMS will only tell you if there is a change to the payments, or they were going to stop, but if his mother lies to them and says he is still in education when he isn't, and assuming she is still getting child benefit, then you won't know anything different.
