I am so annoyed. My ex-wife and I had four children together. We both had 2 resident children each. However my ex claimed CSA payments from me which had a back date of a few months even after no previous letter. The amount was £5 a week. Anyway I proceeded to counter claim and my ex was ordered to pay me £24 a week.
Never wanting any hassle I just asked my ex if she would close the claim. Of course she agreed and even the CSA thought this was the best solution.
Now after around 4 or 5 years later I receive a bill and debt for CSA FOR my ex-wife of £770. I have contacted the CSA and they just tell me that's it's a debt. Well I have never seen this bill and I made very clear to the CSA that both my ex and my CSA claims were dropped.
I'm calling the CSA on a daily basis but non one can give me anything in black and white other than a debt notice. Finally I am presently on a nil band after my ex's latest claim for CSA in January. Now can anyone advise on the historical £770 debt please. This is so unfair and I am broke.
Keep on at the CSA/CMS and if no joy on this, then you need to contact your local MP or CAB who should be able to help you pursue this.
