Hi
just a question, my sons both stayed with me on separate occasions, one on 2009 and the other 2010/11. I stupidly stopped paying CSA but I assumed that's what I was supposed to do now i am three years in arrears and my wages are now arrested. They told me I should've made a claim against my ex.Is it too late to still claim from my ex for the time my boys stayed with me?.

Hi

I'm afraid the CSA work from the date they are notified of changes, so you wouldn't be able to claim back anything on this.

However, the parent with care MUST inform the CSA when there is a change to the number of children living with them, and/or the number of nights a child regularly stays overnight - she clearly has failed to do so (potentially up to £1000 fine for failing to do so), so it's worth having a word with the CSA - be persistent as their first answer will be as per my first paragraph above - I'm not guaranteeing that you will be successful, but it's worth putting up a fight.
