[Solved] Claim by CSA "Outstanding" payments.

My wife and I divorced many years ago. My son..then three, stayed with me(And still does) and my daughter..then one lived with here.
I paid what was "Decided" should be paid to CSA until my daughter reached the appropriate age for payments to cease.
My ex paid almost nothing, claiming to have no income, a fact disproven, and accepted by the CSA.
For the last almost 3 years, the CSA have been chasing me regarding unpaid money, and each time have accepted that we both had one child, and advising me that no more payments would be sought.
Earlier this year, i received a bill for over £13,000.00 (!!)...and, even though I spoke to the CSA (Again!) ...they continue to send this ridiculous bill!
My son is now 22 and my daughter 20.
I have retained contact with my daughter, throughout, and had her at weekends/holidays etc, and given her money on many(But sadly unrecorded) occasions.
Could anyone advise how I could handle this please?
I will again contact CSA, but am less than hopeful that they will either acknowledge previous conversations/decisions, or ignore me completely(Again!)

Hi there

Did you get their agreement that you owed no money in writing?

I would certainly request a breakdown of the arrears in writing and any further communication with them also to be in writing. Once you have the breakdown you should be in a better position to challenge it. They have a complaints procedure that you can follow, but it can also be helpful to get your MP involved as they can liaise with the CSA directly and are much less likely to be messed around. Your MP can also involve the Parliamentary Ombudsman should that be necessary.

Best of luck
