I wonder if anyone has advice. My daughter is no longer living with her mum and no longer welcome at her house. She lives part time at boyfriends mum and part time at mine. This is the situation for the past 3months. I contacted the CSA and informed them. They eventually wrote back saying as the mother is still claiming child benefit they say I still have to pay.So now I support my daughter, she is still at college and pay my ex, (who recently went on a cruise). I have put in a claim for child benefit. My daughter is 18. csa stops in Jan 2013. I was very annoyed.

Hi there and welcome πŸ™‚

I'm sorry to say theres not a lot that you can do. The CSA are within their rights to continue to take money from you until you are in receipt of child benefit. I think once you have the appropriate paperwork to confirm you are receiving the benefit, then the maintenance payments will stop and you should get a repayment for any CSA you paid after the date that child benefit commenced..
