I applied for a variation, special expenses, a few days ago. It sucks they have to ask the receiving parent if they agree with my expenses. I sent in evidence to prove my expenses and I know my ex will try to disagree with what I've put.
But how much would a variation take off of my child maintenance? At the moment money is really tight, and my ex admitted to me she don't even use the money on our daughter.
I'm wondering how much cm could go down by?
I can't find anything online about the amount.
Cheers
hi,
some other dads have previously posted on here, that they made claim for special expenses - petrol for child pick ups/drops. they got a very minor discount, like £10-20 off their monthly payment. its the shared care/overnight stays that make a big difference.
I have shared care already. Works out 1 night a week.
I was paying 149 per month for the car that my ex was driving, what they do is take the total amount for the year of your assessed income. In my case was 149x12 = 1788. So if you earn 30K per year, they will adjust it to 28,212. So it doesn't make a big difference, but still better than nothing.
