Hi, can anyone help?
I have been paying maintenance through the CSA since April 2012, they calculated what I needed to pay, and I have paid every month since. They have just contacted me saying I am £1175 in arrears, when I have looked at there statement, they have miss calculated what I should have been paying and are now asking me to settle the full amount owed. Where do I stand with this if they have made this mistake?
Thanks
Ian
Hi
Unfortunately, you still owe the money - make a reasonable offer to repay the arrears over time, but if they don't accept or are insisting on an unreasonable timescale for repaying the arrears (ie it will put you into hardship), then go and see your MP and ask him to raise a complaint with the CSA.
