Hi so my daughter has left college and working full-time and I have tried to get my payments stopped but have found out her mum is still claiming child benefits so unless they stop she has a right to claim it in there eye. GDPR law is stopping from getting proof that she is no longer in college and well dropped out after her second week without my daughters concent which I know she won't give and the fact she is paying ni and tax I thought this would all be settled. Cms are expecting me to provide information which I can't because of this and was wondering if anyone knows a way around it with getting legal action. Cms don't seem to want to properly investigate it and keep palming me of to contact other people ie benefits agency and I've don't that to but they won't do anything either as I'm not the claimant of the benefits, any help would be greatly appreciated as its all starting to get really stressful feeling like none of the agency's care that she is breaking the law with benefits fraud
hi,
CMS should be able to look into whether your child is working or not. see this short video. should be helpful
Thanks bill337 that helps a lot, I have been on at them for a long period of time about a change in her status but never asked that question so I'll check that out
