[Solved] Child maintenance and redundancy

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help. I have recently been made redundant. Does anyone know if child maintenance service class redundancy payments as earnings. I'm expecting under 16k statutory and contractual pay. I've read somewhere that they can't touch the statutory pay however, there's a possibility that they could class contractual pay as earnings. If this is the case, will they take 10% off that?

I believe that pay in lieu of notice is taxable and therefore is included in the calculation, but any redundancy payout is tax free and therefore can't be touched. Make sure you let them know of the fact that you are now not earning so they can recalculate your maintenance.
