I’m about to become unemployed on the 23rd of November. I am due to make my final child maintenance payment on the 23rd of this month however I can’t afford to make the payment as I need the money to support my current wife and 3 kids. Can anyone advise why will happen if I don’t make my final payment ?, will I be taken to court or assets taken?, or will they make me make the payment when I find work again ?. Any advise would be much appreciated.

you should phone CMS asap and tell them about your unemployment status. ask them about final payment.
