[Solved] Child maintenance

I pay my ex 55 a week and my daughter is now earning nearly 1000 a month on an “apprentice “ for her Aunty as a home carer and does about 40 hours a week. She has just told me that she pays 180 a month to her mother (my ex). Should I really be paying her when my daughter is paying too!!!!! Help:side:

Hi

Yes, what your daughter pays is irrelevant with respect to your maintenance payments, that is solely based on your income, and as your daughter is presumably still under 20, and I also assume in an approved apprenticeship, then you will continue paying until she either leaves education (including apprenticeship) or reaches 20, whichever comes first.
