i have been split from my ex partner for years, i have always paid maintainence even when tpgether, i am trying to sell our flat which is in joint names and i have my children every weekend, and for a week at a time sometimes,i have my own bills as does everyone, and i have recently changed pauments to a lesser amount due to being married and my new partner having 3 children in the household and nwo taking on payments for the new household, so i have to lots coming out, i am in the military and work away all week and costs me a fortune in fuel to work , and i am wprried i will not be able to make the payments they are going to request due to my own payments coming out, apart from going into debt how do i explain this as they just look at income alone not everything else, i have been and paid so much debt off when we split for her, is there anything i can do?

Hi there

Unfortunately they don't take your outgoings into account, they should take the children that you have living with you into account though.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.
