I currently pay for my child without going through CSA, my ex has threatened me with them and I was just curious to how accurate the CSA calculator is and if any other payments are needed like for instance, child care or does she still receive help from the government for child care,
Hello Ryannixon11
As you have a family-based arrangement in place, there are no set rules for you to follow. The amount paid and what is included in the agreement can be anything you both agree to.
The Child Support Agency (CSA) no longer accept new applications, so their calculations would not be relevant to you. The new statutory maintenance service is called the Child Maintenance Service. There is a calculator on the Child Maintenance Options website, http://www.cmoptions.org, which will provide you with an estimation of the amount you would be expected to pay if you did have a case with the Child Maintenance Service. You would not be expected to pay anything else on top of this amount.
If you would like further information about the available options and to receive a more personalised service, you can contact Child Maintenance Options directly.
Regards
William

They also make a reduction on the calculated amount for payments into a pension, or if the. Hold stays overnight with the paying parent. They can also make reductions for travel expenses for contact with the child and also if the paying parent is paying off any debts accrued during the relationship, as long as the debts are in joint names.

All the best
