My son was 18 in September 2013, we have recently found out that he left full time education in January 2014 & is working.
The CSA have agreed payments should stop but won't allow this to happen until the Child Benefit payments stop, the CSA think will be on the 1st September 2014.
We have contacted child benefit but at the Child Benefit is in my ex wife's name they won't disclose any information.
I have logged a child benefit fraud claim but do not know how to find out if this has been dealt with & what the outcome is.
Write to your MP, this is disgusting and happening too many times now
You could still be paying until your son is 20 if she doesn't tell child benefit
I was in the same boat, my daughter 18 next month left fulltime education in Aug 13, and has been living in Spain ever since. My Ex is still claiming CB! and still applied for CMS/CSA ........After 7 months and getting my MP involved the matter has finally been resolved.....although I still believe my Ex Wife is stoill claiming CB!!!
My advice .....write to your MP.....things happen! Good Luck
