Hi looking for advice RE: Child benefit
I have 50/50 contact arrangement with ex - my ex claims child benefit
I pay no maintenance at all due to 50/50 split - we both work full time
I wish to claim the child benefit as I pay far more in terms of phone bills/ football kits/ etc however I have been advised that consideration factors when there is 50/50 split is what address kids are registered for school/ doctors etc. Kids are registered at ex address as I moved out house but have now got own house which is nearer school / doctors etc in terms of distance. Are there any other factors/evidence I can cite to support my case?
thanks in advance
hi,
if you have a court/consent order that states 50/50 arrangement, then that should help you claim child benefit. you can make a counter/rival claim.
