I have my last years salary at a set level for 19-20. I also hav my latest years income year to date.
my salary from 19-20 is let’s say £30k
my salary atm ytd apr to apr is £29k
work have stopped commission meaning although I have earnt £30k this year (still have jan feb mar) to go my monthly income is now much less as my base is only £15k.
question is if you have a decrease I know you can ask for a re adjustment however if I have earnt last years salary year to date up to this point- will they allow a reduction as my income for the next 3 months is equivalent to a basic £15k as that commission which was topping it up to £30k has stopped.

yes they do reduce your maintenance if your income drops. but only if your income drops by 25% or more. What they would likely tell you is if this reduced income stays in place for at least 12 weeks, then they will reduce your maintenance. so most likely they will ask for 3 months of payslips showing the reduced income.
