My maintenance order was put in place when I was currently working whereby I have to pay R1500 for my kids every month, their medical aid and the one childs school fees and aftercare. I am currently unemployed and have been applying for vacancies with no luck as yet. I cannot afford to keep up with these fees anymore. Please can someone give me some advice here
Hi There,
.
Have you contacted CSA/CMS to inform them that you are currently not working?
.
That would be the first thing, if you have and they haven't done anything then you could appeal..

Are you based in the UK? From your post you indicate that the payment you make isn't in our currency, and also that you pay medical aid, which again might not apply here.
In this country if the maintenance is court ordered, you would either have to take it back to court, or if it's been in place for over 12 months, it's possible to open a case with the CMS, which would override the court order. They would recalculate amounts, but if you are unemployed they would take this into account hopefully.
