Case in closure process

Hello, I received a text message today saying my payments are going down to £22 a month. Obviously curious I checked my online account and low and behold there was a message saying

You are no longer paying regular maintenance for this case, but there are outstanding arrears.

We are taking action to recover your unpaid child maintenance.

I have just been on Webchat and they said case closure is in motion and I will receive a notification when done.

A few questions I have. 1) Has anyone else had this? 2) How long does a case closure normally take? 3) My account has £800 arrears on it somehow, not sure as I have been paying, do you think the £22 a month will go towards paying off the arrears?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

hi,

sounds like they only want you to pay off arrears now. I am not experienced with case closures, but there are many people here at this support group for paying parents. recommend you join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/239699060076601

make sure you answer their registration questions.
