Hi
So my son is currently 17 years old and i have been paying child benefit since myself and his mother split ten years ago, i never missed one payment in all this time and see my son all of the time ,
He left school back in may last year and enrolled into college , he started in september attended the first day and hasn't been back since , i have spoken to the college registrar and he has told me this ,
I contacted the csa and told them this but they say they can only go by what the child benefit tell them , and apparently my ex has told the child benefits he is still in education , she is lying to both the csa and the benefits people !!
I have also spoken to the benefits people and they take her word for it too .
I just feel demoralised, frustrated and annoyed , can any one advise me on what i can do to rectify this wrong.
Andy
This is happening far too often now
Write to your MP ASAP
Yes i think i will ,
My MP does hold a surgery ever few weeks i will call in and see if he can help ,
Im just so frustrated with this i dont know where to turn.
I think your MP is the only way forward in this situation, I suspect I will be in this situation in 2017
I've just posted the same on another thread - either tell your ex that you are going to report her for benefit fraud if she doesn't close the CSA case, or just go ahead and report her.
And see your MP anyway as Huxley suggests.
