my son has just got a letter from csa telling him he owes £5000.child maintenance. if he was to talk to the mother & offer her £1000 one off payment plus £100 a month. will the csa still be looking to get the back payment from my son.or will they leave it up to him & ex-partner to sort out. need help asap
Or you could just do this -
On 10.12.12 child support legislation introduced the Part Payment option, which allows parents to make a Full and Final settlement of any outstanding debt, and for the first time provides the CSA the legal power to write off debt. Prior to this date, any Full and Final Settlement was not secure, as any sums remaining on the account could be reinstated.
Anyone who has made such an agreement in the past, may want to consider asking the Agency to now extinguish the remaining debt as available under Section 32 and 33 of Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act
Hi,
Was wondering if any one could help/advise on my situation.
I have recieved a letter from the CSA asking for payments of £280 per month, £150 for child maintance and £130 for back pay arrears. I have been giving my sons mum money for years, started off at £150 and the past year she put it up too £200. I also buy clothes he needs and anything else.
She told me a long time ago that she spoke with CSA and told them we had an arangement and that i give her money, i was then told by her that they was happy with this and take no further action. What would cause them to bring all this up again?
Are they allowed to make me pay arrears as i have have always paid her maintance money? Does all of the money go to her?
Any advice or help would be much appreciated.
I'd have a word with the CSA to find out why they are after this, but ultimately your ex will need to write to them to ask them not to chase for the arrears and to confirm that you have been paying.
MY conditions also very much similar I also took lots of money for my children to care. Now I have a huge amount of dept. I don't know how I fix this? I really want to write off debts by creditors, so that they can manage all the debts. For more information about this please click the link https://nationaldebtlines.co.uk/how-to-write-off-debt/
