Hello all,
I am new here and hope someone can help, I split from my wife in 19991 leaving both my kids behind and my lovely ex contacted the CSA claiming that I had not given her any money, although I was giving her cash paying the mortgage and the rest of the bills, she took Β£26,000 + from our accounts. This she never declared and the CSA took a chunk of my salary, my son applied to stay with myself in 1997 giving me one child and her the other, I then received a letter saying that I now owed Β£0. That was 17 years ago give or take, now I have received a letter from the CSA demanding Β£3500 can anyone shed any light or assistance please as I was close to topping myself before with this lot who wanted my cash but I was not allowed by my ex to see my kids for two whole years.
Hi there biker π
The CSA are like [censored] gangsters aren't they! π‘
There's a sticky at the top of this section about appealing CSA decisions that might be worth a look at. Failing that you could try your MP, they have often succeeded where all else has failed. MPs run weekly surgeries within their local constituency so you should be able to make an appointment fairly quickly. Take all relevant paperwork with you and hopefully your MP might be able to help.
