Spurgeons and Dad.Info doesn’t investigate reports of abuse or neglect. But below, you can find advice on who to contact if you have concerns about a child or young person.
Reporting a concern
It can be difficult to know what to do if you think a child is at risk. It’s important to remember that if you’ve spotted things that don’t seem right, others will have too. Speaking up can make sure that child gets help as soon as possible.
The sooner you contact your local children’s social care duty team, the quicker they can act. They’re available 24 hours a day, and can make an anonymous report if that feels safer. If a child is in immediate danger, please call the police straight away by dialling 999.

My son's mum and I both agreed that my 13 year old son would benefit from COVID Catch Up lessons in English and Maths during the summer holidays. I organised the sessions and paid for it myself with the overall cost being £280. My ex agreed at the outset in writing that she would pay half and then when it came to pay she said that she couldn't afford it because she had to pay for a new school blazer and new school shoes in the same month (which of course I pay maintenance for). Do I have any grounds to deduct what my ex agreed to contribute from the next Maintenance payment or is that going down a dangerous path.
Hi
Depend if you are paying through CM Service or have a private agreement.
If private then suggest it and negotiate. If via CMS then no grounds for deduction im afraid.
Thanks
