Hi i'm sure this has been asked before?, to cut a long story short, my question is my ex wife with a child that she said after 2 years of being with her and me paying at the time said the child wasn't mine. And about 8 years later I get a CSA letter saying I have to pay this that and the other basically saying if I don't pay im in trouble. So me not properly thinking about thought I'd have to as my name is on the birth certificate.

Since saying this I also asked for a DNA test which to my bemusement I have to pay, I live and work in Germany with my new partner bringing up to step-children and plan to have another child together and also buy a house as we have nowhere to live in the UK and my career doesn't last forever as im either redundant from next month or if not only have just over 6 years left till I retire from the armed forces. So I now have the added pain of having to try and establish a place to buy and live in the UK and hopefully have a mortgage paid of before I have no job and have to look for a new job. And at the min its causing arguements between me and my now wife who may already be pregnant. So how can this work why would CSA wreck a relationship and destroy a new born childs parents relationship. Surely that defeats the object plus the fact where all UK citizens which means a few trips to UK to see family each year its by no means cheap. It's a nightmare I'm starting to feel the best thing is to not be in a relationship at all, which is not what I want cause I love my wife so much. CSA dont have a heart at all and as other people have posted my ex can just get smashed as often as she likes. I left her due to drink problems the child in question is on the child protection because of her yet he's still with her. What a messed up world we live in.
