[Solved] Advice please-Help!

Hi. My 16 year old son has just secured an electricians apprenticeship here in the UK. I have a private maintenance arrangement but do not get on well with my ex. I need to know whether I am still obligated to pay her anything as he will no warm a wage but will still be studying on “block release” to ALevel standard. Can anyone please confirm as I need to be 100% sure. Thanks in advance.

hi,

if child is in full-time education (12+ hours a week), at A-level standard, then you should be paying maintenance. if child is getting a paid apprenticeship, then you should not be paying maintenance.
