Advice on when my child maintenance will stop

My son turned 17 last May.  I havent seen my son since he was 10 due to my ex stopping me seeing my son and I nearly had a nervous breakdown.  I moved over 500 miles away to help me start a new life and get my head together.  I now don't know what my son is doing whether in school or work and I know my ex will not be honest about this.  I've no way of checking whether I should be paying maintenence or not is there any way I could find this out?

Hi,

Do you pay child maintenance through CMS? If so you can ring them and ask - 0800 171 2345

They can check if mother still getting child benefit. If still in receipt of CB, they will expect you to continue paying maintenance.
